A non-profit dedicated to supporting children with special needs.

From Kim Muir, founder of Can't Skate Can't Play: Being part of the hockey community for over 30 years, I've seen how beneficial the support from players, coaches, and families impact athletes of all abilities.

From my journey with my autistic son, Vincenzo (Vinny) and my family's experience, good and bad, socially, emotionally, and technically with adults and other children, I feel a responsibility to create a safe environment and provide services to ALL children, like my son.

Thankfully, I am fortunate to own my business, which has allowed me to be present for all of my son's therapies and appointments. Many do not have the flexibility, financial means, or support to do the same. Our goal is to offer a helping hand, for parents who have children like mine, who are in need.

We aim to create more moments like these:

Our goal is to create an inclusive and empowering environment for hockey players with special needs. We strive to provide opportunities for growth, skill development, and social interaction, along with raising awareness, support, and resources for these individuals, promoting inclusivity and breaking down barriers within the hockey community. Together, we strive to foster a sense of belonging, build self-confidence, and celebrate their unique abilities. The ultimate goal is to make a lasting impact, inspiring and empowering individuals with special needs, to reach their full potential both on and off the ice.
